Co-Laboring for Gods People
The root meaning of the word collaboration is to ‘co-labor’. Collaborating means to coordinate, organize, and co-labor in such a way that the sum of our combined efforts produces more than our individual contributions.
Collaborating to serve God's people in our communities is an important aspect of Christian life, reflecting Jesus' call to love and serve others. This collaboration can take many forms, from meeting practical needs to sharing the Gospel and offering spiritual support from past hurts.
Serving with a Heart of Love
The foundation of collaborating in God's work is love for others, as Jesus emphasized the greatest commandments: to love God and love our neighbors (Matthew 22:37-39). Service to others is an expression of that love.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
Philippians 2:3
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Throughout scripture we see God as a triune Father, Son, and Spirit in loving relationship with each other. We see them united in purpose, working together in total, loving cooperation, yet each with diverse and unique responsibilities, roles, and names.
Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.
